The Shakers were modern before modern was cool. Known for both simplicity and function of form, their design aesthetic was the American precursor to what we now call midcentury modern.
modern shake is crafted from a single cherry tree. Each element is either cut from solid or sawn into veneer to maintain exquisite color matching though out. Handles, base and the accompanying mirror are all Peruvian walnut.
